FAQ

Where exactly do we meet?

Mueller State Park, 21045 CO-67, Divide — about 50 minutes west of Colorado Springs. The exact trailhead and a map pin are sent the week of the session. Plan to arrive 10 minutes early. Park entry is $10 per vehicle ($15 for out-of-state plates), paid at the entrance station, or free if you have the Keep Colorado Wild pass on your vehicle registration.

What should we wear?

Earth tones and soft neutrals photograph best against the gold: cream, rust, olive, denim, camel. Skip logos and neon. Mornings at 9,500 feet are cold, so bring layers you can shed. Boots are smart; the ground is uneven.

How many photos do we get, and when?

A minimum of 15 edited high-resolution images, delivered in an online gallery within two weeks of the session. The gallery includes personal print rights and a print shop for anyone who wants cards or wall prints before the holidays.

What if the weather turns?

Light clouds are a gift, so sessions run in most conditions. If rain or snow makes a day unworkable, every booking on that day moves to the same time the following weekend. No refunds are needed; the slot simply shifts.

Can we bring grandparents or a bigger group?

Minis are built for immediate family, up to six people. Extended families and larger groups do better with a full one-hour session ($500), which can be booked for the same weekend. Book two back-to-back mini slots if you'd like both a family set and a grandparent set.

How does booking work?

Tap Book Your Session, pick a time, and pay the $250 session fee to lock it in. A confirmation arrives right away, and the location pin and prep notes follow the week of the session. Slots are first come, first served; once a day sells out it comes off the page.
